Welsh Lib Dem Conference building a Fair Wales - Kirsty Williams

Welsh Lib Dem Conference building a Fair Wales - Kirsty Williams

The Welsh Liberal Democrats will this weekend be reaffirming their commitment to building a fairer Wales by setting in stone their four main priorities for the General Election and the people of Wales.

Our four key pledges to deliver a fair Wales that will underpin the manifesto are:

    * Fair Taxes for all * A Fair Start for Children * A Fair, Sustainable Economy * Fair, Clean and Local Politics

Kirsty Williams, leader of the Welsh Liberal Democrats said:

“The people of Wales have a choice between three very different visions of the future. The Liberal Democrat vision is of a Fairer Wales within a Fairer Britain.

“Our key policies truly set us apart from the parties who are offering phony change, playground politics and make believe economics. From our fair tax proposals which will see millions of people lifted out of paying income tax and millions more seeing a £700 cut in their income tax, ensuring that our politics is clean and local, to providing a fair start for our children and crating a fair, green and sustainable economy.

“We fully understand that the country is in a difficult financial situation and that’s why we are being honest with the voters of Wales with what we can and cannot afford. We do not have a shopping list of policies, we have a list of priorities that the country can afford and will deliver a fairer society.”

“The important work we do this weekend will underpin our manifesto commitment dedicated to building a fairer Wales. “
